2012 Festival Wrap
Arts Mildura are pleased to report that this year's Festival was yet another success, with many members of the community enjoying a Festival program that was filled with variety.
"Our community appreciates the arts and this showed in the attendance at the different events held throughout the Fesitval. The support was fantastic and we were thrilled to bring to the town again a Festival filled with variety to satisfy the community's desire for arts in our Region" Stedman Watts, Manager, Arts Mildura
While the beginning of the Festival saw Arts Mildura face some challenges due to Mother Nature, the end result was nothing but positive with a crowd well over 5,000 attending the Sunraysia Daily Mardi Gras Parade and River Party.
This year's Festival bought to town a mix of performances and artists including; author, comedian, Theatre company, musicians, monks, big screen film festival, and of course the crowd favourite; Sunraysia Daily Mardi Gras Parade, Rivery Party and Devilee's Fireworks.
The Fesitval ended with the Sunday Festival Lounge at Apex Park. "The Sunday Festival Lounge was the perfect ending to a great Festival. The atmosphere down at Apex Park, with the DJ's, couches and of course glorious weather, made it such a chilled out event that everyone enjoyed. This is definitely an event we would like to repeat in the future." Rachel Kendrigan, Festival Manager, Arts Mildura
Arts Mildura would like to thank all involved in making this year's Mildura Wentworth Arts Festival so successful; the sponsors, suppliers, volunteers, local media and of course the community and tourists to the region for attending the events throughout the Festival.
Arts Mildura look forward to bringing a bigger and better Festival to Sunraysia in 2013.
